Propane (R290) as an environmentally friendly refrigerant in dehumidifiers
 
Every year, synthetic refrigerants release several million tons of environmentally harmful CO2 emissions (greenhouse gases) into the air. Therefore, the use of alternative refrigerants is one of our most important goals. By using propane (R290) as a refrigerant, this dehumidifier makes a valuable contribution to climate protection. The natural refrigerant propane (R290) is an organic compound and is a hydrocarbon. In contrast to synthetic refrigerants, environmentally friendly propane (R290) has neither ozone depletion potential (ODP=0) nor a significant greenhouse effect (GWP=3).
 
Additional benefit for the environment: Due to its excellent thermodynamic properties, propane (R290) is a particularly energy-efficient refrigerant and thus also reduces your energy costs.
 
 
User-friendly
 
Thanks to its robust housing, ergonomic recessed handles with an internal grip clip and four stable steering wheels with roll stops, the device is ideal for use on construction sites and for drying water damage. However, these advantages are also appreciated in commercial premises or in private basements.
 
The storage is also well thought out: two practical stacking grooves on the top of the device enable stable and space-saving stacking during transport and in storage.
   
An integrated operating hour counter reliably documents the exact operating time, even during longer drying operations.
 
 
Integrated compressor heat protection with automatic switch-off
 
When drying with extremely high humidity and high temperatures - for example when repairing water damage - refrigeration dryers quickly reach their red performance range. The catchy "35 rule" applies here: drying water damage at temperatures above 35 degrees reduces the dryer's service life to less than 35%. However, this is not a question of component quality, but pure physics, which applies to all refrigeration dryers on the market regardless of the manufacturer.

While most professional condenser dryers can still work easily up to 35 °C at moderate humidity of around 70% RH, very high humidity combined with a high room temperature means that significantly more energy is added to the moist room air, which must also be "worked off" via the refrigerant. As a result, the pressure of the refrigerant in the system increases immensely, which leads to a destructive load on the compressor. The dehumidifiers will initially continue to work, but well above their limit "deep in the dark red range", which results in an extremely shortened remaining service life.

That's why the TTK-S series commercial dehumidifiers have integrated compressor heat protection to actively preserve the value of your devices:
Sensors constantly monitor the heat load of the compressor. If the temperature is within the defined working range, the integrated heat protection display pulses in a long sequence, indicating that the dehumidifier is operating optimally. As soon as the temperature exceeds the critical limit of 35 °C, the automatic system switches the compressor off to protect it, while the fan continues to operate, and automatically reactivates the compressor as soon as the temperature falls below the 35° limit again. This protection not only significantly extends the service life of the dehumidifier, it also prevents thermal damage to materials in the room and the building structure when they are in use.
