Ozone is a practically colorless gas and is produced naturally or technically. It consists of an unstable compound of 3 "O" atoms (=O3), which decomposes into oxygen (O2) after a relatively short time. In the O3 compound it is strongly oxidizing and disinfecting. It kills germs, bacteria, viruses and odors with 3000 times the power of chlorine treatment. It is therefore used in various areas to disinfect air and surfaces. However, before the treated rooms can be opened to people and animals again, it is important that the ozone value is within the permissible range. This measuring device is used for this purpose.
The device is characterized by very low cross-sensitivity to other gases or VOCs and impresses with fast measurement results with high accuracy even at the smallest ozone concentrations.
Many integrated functions such as the ozone zero adjustment, the reference value measurement option for short-term limit value and time-weighted average value or the switchable value display from ppm to µg/m³ make the fast-reacting measuring device an indispensable aid for the precise determination of ozone pollution. In addition, it is an environmental measuring unit with which air temperature and humidity can also be determined or dew point and wet bulb temperature can be calculated. The dual display of this measuring device always shows you two measured values at the same time at a glance.
The device can also be attached to a tripod for long-term measurements. It also has a mini USB port and a 9 V hollow plug socket, so that permanent mains operation is possible via these interfaces as an alternative to using batteries. Last but not least, a power bank can also be connected to the mini USB port for mobile power supply if required.
