Good heating performance with small space requirements
This matt black infrared heater is compact in shape and size. It is suitable for quickly heating balconies, terraces, trade fair and market stands, outdoor events, seating and standing areas in outdoor restaurants and similar areas that require little space. Whether in the cold winter, in spring when temperatures are still cool or on unexpectedly cool summer nights - this heater with digital display and remote control enriches outdoor areas all year round with pleasant summer temperatures without taking up much space.
Easy operation
The lightweight heater is easy to use and offers maximum functionality and heat intensity. It floods 8 - 14 m² areas with targeted, instant heat, either at the touch of a button on the device itself or via remote control. In contrast to conventional halogen heating tubes, the high-quality carbon infrared tube emits 80 percent less red light, but more pleasant infrared heat. The expected lifespan of this tube is around 10,000 operating hours.
Can be used as a wall or ceiling heater
As a wall and ceiling heater, the heater warms seating groups, standing tables and outdoor lounge areas with odorless heat without any preheating time. For easy installation of the carbon heater, a bracket that can be swiveled by 45°, including screws and dowels, is included in the delivery. The approx. 1.80 m long cable can be used to reach nearby sockets.
pleasant warmth
The pleasant infrared heat of the infrared heater can be felt on the skin immediately after switching it on. To adjust the heat intensity as required, the device has four heating levels with 800 watts, 1200 watts, 1600 watts and 2000 watts of heat output, which can be selected via the integrated control panel or the remote control provided.
Plannable heat outdoors
The heater has a practical 24-hour timer for energy-saving programming of a predefined operating time. Once set, the heater switches off automatically after a predefined number of hours (1-24 hours). This reduces unnecessary operating costs and makes it particularly easy to use in commercial applications.
Safe and Weatherproof
For maximum safety, the infrared heater has a self-triggering overheating protection. If the maximum permissible operating temperature of the heater is exceeded, a safety thermostat switches operation off fully automatically. Another plus point - especially for professional use in the catering industry - is the designer aluminum housing constructed to protection class IP55, which means that the jet-proof infrared heater reliably withstands wind and rain.
Infrared heat: As pleasant as the sun
The radiator heats its immediate surroundings using the natural principle of the sun. Unlike devices with heating wires, the infrared rays do not heat the surrounding air, but only the surfaces and people they hit. The objects illuminated (e.g. furniture, walls and ceilings) absorb the heat and store it, then gradually release it again. The objects thus serve as additional energy and heat storage - even when the device is switched off, which further increases the efficiency. The heat radiation creates a pleasant feeling of warm sun rays on the skin in summer.
Everyone perceives temperatures differently. Our individual perception of heat is influenced, for example, by the distance from the heat source. The closer the distance to the heater, the smaller the area illuminated - the greater the distance to the heater, the larger the area illuminated. The 2000 watt carbon tube is recommended for outdoor areas of around 8 m² in cold environments or 14 m² in slightly temperate environments.
No disturbing emissions
In contrast to electric heaters, the clean and condensation-free instant heat is generated without dust turbulence, annoying noises and unpleasant smells.
Low Glare: 100% heat, 80% less light
Conventional infrared heaters without low glare technology often emit an intense orange-reddish light along with the heat radiation, which many people find warm and cozy. However, to ensure that the surroundings are not illuminated too brightly or even disturbed, the IR 2005 from Trotec has a carbon infrared tube with light-reducing low glare technology.
Advantages of Low Glare Technology
Romantic candlelight atmosphere: Low glare shortwaves produce a larger proportion of infrared light from the invisible light range - and do so without reducing the heating output. In addition, the infrared radiation is concentrated using an innovative coating process on the tubes, which reduces scattering losses. Overall, Trotec carbon heaters with low glare technology therefore achieve a brightness reduction of up to 80% with an expected service life of around 10,000 hours.
Full heat output with less brightness: Since the perceptible light is significantly reduced, the immediate vicinity of the heater creates the impression of a cozy candlelight atmosphere and the ambience is noticeably more pleasant. An existing lighting concept on the terrace or in the restaurant is overall less affected.
Note: Low glare carbon heating tubes look just as intensely reddish as conventional infrared heaters without low glare. In reality, however, they emit 80% less visible light. With the same heat output - for more comfort and romance.
