With its filters and high air flow, it is ideal if you want to remove airborne particles such as fine dust, house dust or pollen from the air in the room. It filters particles down to 0.0003mm in size. This means that the particles are practically completely filtered out of the air each time they pass through the cleaner. Regarding cleaning effect against the corona virus
Coronaviruses have a diameter of approximately 60 - 160 nm (60 nm = 0.00006 mm).
The HEPA filter in this device cleans particles up to 0.0003 mm in size. The virus is therefore smaller than the purity rate of the filter.
But: viruses do not fly individually in the air, but are always enclosed in larger droplets (so-called aerosols). In human breath, the smallest droplets have a size of approx. 1 µm = 0.001 mm (when coughing: 10 µm = 0.01mm). The HEPA filter therefore catches the aerosols and also cleans the air of COVID19 viruses. The device is therefore very effective and recommended for reducing risk, e.g. in waiting rooms, classrooms, offices or even in private environments.

Prefilter:
The cleanable pre-filter (filter grid) removes all larger particles such as hair and lint and thus ensures a longer service life of the HEPA filter.
HEPA filter:
One of the best filters ever, especially as a pollen filter. This branded filter catches and filters particles up to 0.0003mm in size. In addition to pollen, this also includes germs, mold spores and dust. Purity rate of 99.97%.
Activated carbon filter:
Breaks down many types of smoke and odors (e.g. cigarette smoke) and also helps eliminate toxic fumes, gases and solvents.
Air sensor (optionally switchable):
Automatically measures the air quality. If the air quality is very good, the air purifier automatically switches to low operating power. If the result is the opposite and the air quality is poor or bad, the operating power automatically adjusts to high recirculation.
3 speed levels:
"High" (strong / approx. 200 m3/h), "Low" (weak / approx. 150 m3/h) and quiet night mode (approx. 80 m 3 /h), the operating noise varies with the selected fan level from noticeable to whisper-quiet/suitable for the bedroom.
Timer:
With the timer you can specify/select a remaining running time of the device of 1 / 2 / 4 or 8 hours.
LED display:
The air purifier has a modern display so you always have a quick overview of all settings and the current status of the air quality (trend). The device also shows when the filters should be changed.

maintenance and filter changes
Maintenance is limited to periodic filter replacement. This is very simple and can be done in just a few minutes without any tools. How often the filters need to be replaced depends on how often they are used and how polluted the air is. With regular use in an average environment, the filters should be changed about twice a year. We make sure that the consumables for all of our air purifiers remain inexpensive despite their good quality. A filter set for the 220b costs CHF 42 as a complete package (2 filters).
