The new Secotec 1400 tumble dryer from Lübra impresses with its slim design, economical operation and solid workmanship made in Switzerland. Built similarly to the cheaper Dryfix Swiss, the Secotec1400 has a more powerful blower, which is particularly advantageous for even drying of long lines of linen over 4m long. The drying capacity is 1.70 kg per hour, which corresponds to around 3-4 washing machine loads per day in slightly temperate rooms. The Secotec 1400 is therefore ideal when used in single-family homes or in apartment buildings as a supplement to a tumble dryer. The moist room air is sucked in from the right side, and the dry air is blown into the room from the front in the upper part of the housing. The Secotec1400 is ideal for drying laundry if the upper edge is not mounted higher than 1.70m and can blow lengthways through the linen. The housing is made of high-quality, powder-coated metal (white RAL 9003). A dust filter is inserted on the right side, which cleans the air drawn in from dirt. This filter consists of a plastic frame and a high-density nylon net. It can be easily removed from the front for cleaning. The water drainage channel for the condensate is located directly behind the filter, which can therefore be accessed for cleaning without tools. Easy operation with the Lübra control • Function switch: here you can choose whether the device should only dry the laundry and then switch off automatically, or whether it should keep the room at a constant target humidity. In this mode, the dryer always runs when the room humidity is higher than the set desired humidity, otherwise the dehumidification and fan pause. • Hygrostat wheel: Rotary switch with which the desired target humidity can be easily regulated. • Start button: If you do not want to change any of the settings, you can start (or stop) the operation by simply pressing the start button. This is an easy-to-understand solution, particularly in drying rooms for several parties. A plexiglass cover is also available on request, which prevents access to the function wheel and hygrostat so that the settings cannot be changed. ambient temperature Technically, Secotec tumble dryers can be used down to 5°C. Please note that the drying time for all room air tumble dryers increases significantly the colder the room is. For optimum drying speed, 15°C and higher are optimal. The declared drying performance was measured at a room temperature of 20°C.
mounting on the wall
As with all tumble dryers, installation is extremely simple: a mounting rail is anchored into the wall using 2 screws, and the device can then be hung up. All necessary mounting material such as screws/anchors and 1m of hose is included in the delivery. Both the support rail and the two buffers in the lower part of the device that support the wall are insulated with rubber to minimize the transmission of vibrations to the wall. Due to the high dehumidification performance, we recommend draining the condensate directly into the drain using the hose if possible (suitable hose: 16mm inner diameter). If you want to use a bucket, please ensure that it has enough capacity (min. 8 liters) to avoid overflowing while drying laundry.
