The Quadro X80 is a very powerful dehumidifier with a semi-professional design. The metal casing and the internal components are solid and durable. The X80 is particularly efficient in a classic basement environment, but also economical in consumption. service The target humidity can be set using the clear control panel on the top of the device. Once the target humidity is reached, the dehumidification operation pauses while only the ventilation continues to determine the current humidity. Various setting options are available:
continuous operation
The device runs continuously and ignores the measured room humidity. This setting is useful if you want to dry laundry or when drying water damage.
Operation with selected target humidity 30 – 90%
Any target humidity value between 30% and 90% can be selected at the touch of a button (5% increments). To prevent mold and odors, it is sufficient to maintain a humidity of around 60%. The ideal setting is therefore 55 or 60%. For economical operation, the software has a tolerance of 6% so that the compressor does not start at too short intervals. The set target humidity value corresponds to the average value +-3%. This means that the drying process runs until the set value is undershot by 3%. The operation then pauses until the set value is overshot by 3%. So if you select 55%, for example, the room humidity fluctuates between min. 52% - max. 58%.
comfort mode
The "Dryfix Intelligence" control automatically optimizes operation taking the room temperature into account:
- If the ambient temperature is below 5° C, the compressor stops to prevent the unit from icing up.
- When the ambient temperature is higher than 5°C and lower than 20°C, the device operates with a target humidity of 60%.
- When the ambient temperature is higher than 20°C and lower than 27°C, the device operates with a target humidity of 55%.
- If the ambient temperature is higher than 27° C, the device operates with a target humidity of 50%.
large tank
The condensate tank, which is inserted at the back, holds 6.5 liters and stops operation when it is full using the integrated float magnetically. The fill level is immediately visible on the front of the device: blue light = operation in progress, red light = tank full or not inserted correctly (operation is interrupted). The hose connection is located directly above the tank, through which the condensate can also be drained directly into a drain (suitable hose: 10 mm inner diameter).
Two ventilation levels
The air flow is powerful. The slats at the top of the device can also be used to direct the dry air in a certain direction. This is very useful if, for example, you want to blow into a laundry line or onto a damp wall. Due to the powerful ventilation, the operating noise is easily audible (a noise comparable to that of a steam extractor). At the touch of a button, you can choose between weak (quieter) or strong ventilation. With this model, the compressor (= dehumidification) stops when the desired humidity is reached, while the fan runs continuously to circulate the room air.

The dryer can be used over a wide temperature range between +7°C and +35°C, although as with all condensation dryers, the dehumidification power decreases in cooler environments. Examples of dehumidification performance and consumption under different (constant) ambient conditions:

HEPA filter option
In addition to the standard filter, which filters dust out of the air, a HEPA filter can be ordered for the X80. This HEPA filter cleans the air every time it passes through the device with a purity rate of almost 100%. This means that even the finest particles such as pollen, fine dust, mold spores and other tiny contaminants are intercepted. Also viruses of all kinds (including corona). The filter is therefore highly recommended, for example in basements with mold infestation, but also when drying laundry so that flying pollen is not blown through the hanging laundry and contaminates it (e.g. in the case of pollen allergy). The HEPA filter is a consumable and cannot be washed. The price of CHF 38 includes the filter with holder. For repeat orders, the filter alone without holder can be reordered at a reduced price of CHF 29.
