Beneath the flame arrestors and burners is the full-width grease tray, which is fully removable for easy cleaning. Also located under the hood of the LD485RSIB gas grill is the highly efficient ceramic infrared rear burner. Infrared burners are ready for use when gas is directed through the openings in the ceramic, where it combusts on the surface. The heat is absorbed by the ceramic, causing it to glow. This red glow is infrared heat, sealing in the meat juices on the perfect steak or roast. You don't have to worry about heat loss when you open the lid to check on the food.
