This data logger measures the CO? air quality in rooms such as offices, classrooms or even in your own home. It has a large data memory for 50,000 measured values for long-term recording of carbon dioxide concentrations, air temperature and humidity values in freely definable measuring intervals from 1 second to 12 hours. It uses a CO? traffic light to show how the air quality is changing.
The recorded data can be easily transferred to the connected PC via a fast USB connection and then evaluated and logged using the analysis software included in the delivery. Thanks to the integrated Li-Ion battery, the CO? data logger can be used in mobile applications as well as in stationary tabletop use.
The simultaneous recording of humidity and temperature values plus CO2 concentrations also provides property managers or landlords with optimal options for monitoring ventilation behavior.
Automatic Baseline Calibration
The CO? fresh air value expected today is around 400 ppm (0.04%vol). This is assumed by the device as the lowest limit (baseline). A special algorithm then permanently monitors the lowest CO? measured value determined by the sensor over several days. This takes place over a preconfigured time interval and slowly corrects any long-term drift detected compared to the expected fresh air value of 400 ppm (or 0.04%vol) CO?.
In normal indoor applications, the carbon dioxide level drops to almost the level of the outside air at some point over the course of a week. By recording the values over a period of 8 days and then comparing the lowest value with the 400 ppm point, the measuring device recognizes whether it needs to adjust the zero point or not. This happens completely automatically. The algorithm thus takes advantage of the fact that the CO2 level in buildings/rooms regularly stabilizes at a minimum for a certain period of time when they are not occupied. In rooms that are permanently occupied or in which there is a constantly increased CO2 concentration (e.g. greenhouses), this principle of automatic adjustment does not work.
